The Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Honourable Uko Umoh, FCLMI, has been inducted as FELLOW of Institute of Corporate Leadership & Mentorship.
The investiture took place during the Institute’s National Leadership & Entrepreneurship Conference (NALEC 2024) held at Uranus House, Uyo.
The national conference of the Institute had the theme Re-igniting your Passion for Enduring Legacy in Leadership drew participants across Nigeria.
Speaking shortly before administering the oath, the National President of ICLM Apostle Emmanuel Eduongo said the induction was not an award but a recognition of outstanding leadership qualities exhibited by the inductees.
In his remarks after being decorated with the fellowship pin, Honourable Uko Umoh described the theme of the conference as a wake up call to leaders at all levels to consider what will be recorded for them as enduring legacy when they are off the leadership stage.
He used the occasion to highlight the policy thrust of his administration which is aimed at making life better for rural dwellers.
“I want to leave a legacy of a peaceful and harmonious relationship between the executive and the legislative arm of the Council on one hand and the civil servants on the other hand.
“I want to leave a legacy of peace and unity for even development in Etinan Local Government Area.
“I want to leave a legacy of access to basic infrastructure and amenities in our rural communities.
“I want to leave a legacy of economic prosperity that will take the Local Government from the back stage to the centre stage in investment and economic activities” the council boss declared.
The annual conference featured lectures and discourse that centered on leadership with keynote address presented by Apostle Emmanuel Eduongo on the topic: Leading With Passion: Building A Legacy that Transcends Generations while Dr Adeogun Oluwakayode presented a paper on Re-igniting your Passion for Enduring Legacy in Leadership.
The annual conference also featured the cutting of the 7th year anniversary cake by the National President, Apostle Emmanuel Eduongo assisted by dignitaries at the event.
