3725 Persons Benefit From Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer In Etinan

No fewer than 3,725 persons have benefitted from the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer in Etinan local government area.

The payment exercise was flagged off by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Services, Princess Emem Ibanga, at Ikot Akpabio civic centre for beneficiaries in Northern Iman extraction.

Addressing the people, the Commissioner thanked the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the kind gesture to vulnerable homes in the country

She explained that the total money in the debit card issued is seventy five thousand naira only (75,000.00) payable in three tranches.

“For every Etinan beneficiary whose name is on the list, I assure you that you will get the money.
“When you multiply N75,000 with 3,725 beneficiaries you will know how much the APC government is sending directly to the people”

Hon Emem Ibanga called for support for the President and the APC government hinting that, by next month, the Ministry of Humanitarian Services in Akwa Ibom State is coming back to Etinan with a truck load of food.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Etinan local government area, Hon Uko Umoh, FCLMI, thanked the government for including Etinan in the scheme of things.

He used the opportunity to call on those who have come of age but do not have voter’s card to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter’s Registration exercise to register for their Permanent Voter’s Card.

Hon Uko Umoh also appealed to the people to always participate in government programmes as it may turn out for good someday in the future.

In a chat with newsmen, the State Grievance Redress Mechanism Manager of the National Cash Transfer Program, Akwa Ibom State, Mr.Menyene Ekaiko said the beneficiaries will be attended to at two designated centres.
