Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the political class in Etinan Local Government Area has thrown its weight behind the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno.
In a motion moved by the representative of Etinan, Nsit Ibom , Nsit Ubuim Federal Constituency, Obong Paul Ekpo, during the inauguration of ARISE WITH RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE, the people in a voice vote, overwhelmingly endorsed the the duo to continue in office till 2031.
The motion was seconded by a former chairman of Etinan local government area and the current Dean, College of Honorary Special Advisers to the governor, Obong Kenneth Okon with an addition of all APC candidates.
Shortly before the inauguration, the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon. (Dr) Uko Umoh who was sworn in as the Chapter Coordinator of the group described members of the ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative as tested and trusted politicians.
He assured them that Etinan leadership structures like the political class, traditional institution, youths and women have been in full support of the government of Governor Umo Eno due to his numerous achievements in office.
“This is Etinan where our support is undivided and total. When we endorse in Etinan, it translates to automatic victory and we have already given Mr. President and the governor the go ahead till 2031.
As long as I remain the chairman, there is no other party in Etinan” he declared.
Goodwill messages came from Engr. Billy Etuk, Hon Imaobong Collins, Chairman of APC in Etinan, Comrade Israel Tommy and Arch.Bishop Andrew Unwanta who all assured the group of mass mobilization towards total victory for all APC candidates.
In his remarks, the President General of ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko listed the achievements of President Bola Tinubu to include the coastal high way which will boost businesses between the commercial capital of Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State, support to our son, Chief Godswill Akpabio, for the exalted office of President of the National Assembly.
He assured the people that with our total support for the President and all APC candidates, our son will remain the Senate President till 2031 to the benefit of the entire state.
He appreciated the people of Etinan for the assurance of harvest of votes in the forthcoming elections.
High point of the event was the inauguration of the Chapter officers coordinated by Hon (Dr) Uko Umoh, Advisory Committee to be chaired by Arch Bishop Andrew Unwanta.
Promotional material was also presented by Comrade Ubong Ikpe, Special Assistant to the Governor on People With Disabilities.
