Akwa Ibom State Distributes Food Stuff To Households In Etinan
For the fourth time since 2023, the Akwa Ibom state government is giving out food stuff to vulnerable household across the state.

The fourth batch started in July 2026 and the Akwa Ibom State Bulk Agency truck arrived Etinan on Friday 24th July 2026.
Receiving the truck, the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area thanked the state government, under the leadership of Pastor Umo Eno, for sustaining the free food policy of its administration.
He said the free food programme has touched the heart of the people as can be seen in the expression of joy on their faces.
The Council boss used the opportunity to call on the people to always participate in government programmes as the beneficiaries were drawn from a list in the social register.
“Few weeks ago more than three thousand people benefitted from the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer and today we are receiving over seven thousand bags of food stuff.
*These are only meant for people whose names are found in the social register.”
He charged the people on the need to participate in the on going Continuous Voter’s Card registration as well as the monthly sanitation exercise billed to take place between the hours of seven and ten o’clock in the morning of Saturday 25th July. 2026.

Hon Uko Umoh reassured the governor of total support of the people before, during and after the 2027 general elections.
Also speaking, the state’s Attorney General, Uko Udom SAN, appreciated the governor for his interest in the development of rural communities and his interest in the wellbeing of people at the grassroots.

He appealed to Etinan people to participate in the sanitation exercise saying, sanitation courts will prosecute offenders.
Addressing the people, representative of the governor, Hon Unyime Etim, said the food programme was a mere intervention for vulnerable household while farming remains the permanent solution to the problem of hunger.

Hon Unyime Etim stressed that beneficiaries are from the social register and those who are not accommodated in this batch will have their turn in the forthcoming 5th batch
“This is made possible by the APC government. This just an intervention for the vulnerable people and is meant to strengthen you to go back to farm for a permanent solution to hunger” he stated.

Beneficiaries across the eleven wards of Etinan applauded the governor for his consistency and passionate disposition in governance.
