Head of Local Government Service Charges Staff On Dedication To Duties

The Head of Local Government Service in Etinan Local Government Area, Mr.Saviour Okon, has charged workers to reciprocate government gesture by being dedicated to their assigned duties.
He gave the charge in his opening remarks at the November’s edition of solemn assembly held at the Millennium Hall of the Council on Monday 10th November,2025.
According to him, the government of Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has proven itself to be workers’ friendly as demonstrated in the prompt payment of salaries and Leave grant and settlement of many outstanding entitlement of workers.

“We are here today to give thanks and glorify God for his mercies and protection. Let the word we will hear today manifest in our lives and services rendered.
“Let us think of the goodness of government in prompt payment of salaries and other benefits and put in our best in various offices. That way God will be happy with all of us”
In his exhortation taken from Matthew 1:23, Apostle (Dr) Udo Akpan admonished christians to wait and have faith in God who is able to bring to pass his promises.

He stressed that when a Christian puts away sin, forgives one another, God will always be with them and no weapon formed against such a Christian shall prosper.

Prayers for the state governor and Akwa Ibom state was offered by the Director of Agriculture, Elder Emmanuel Isong; prayer for the executive arm of Etinan local government was offered by Hon Abasifreke Noah, prayer for the Legislative Council was offered by the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Pastor Ubong Inyang. Also prayer for the welfare of the entire workers of Etinan Local Government Area was offered by the Secretary of Council, Hon Idorenyin Udo.

Present at the solemn assembly were the Vice Chairman, Hon Imaobong Michael, Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Ekerete Umoh, Councilors, Supervisors, Directors and NULGE.
