A coffee brown Toyota Carina E with registration number UYY 351 DA suspected to be one of the cars stolen recently from the premises of a Hospital in Uyo has been recovered by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
According to a press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, added that no suspect was arrested during the operation.
On Monday, August 5, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, Operatives of the Command recovered a coffee brown Toyota Carina E with registration number UYY 351 DA along Aba Road, opposite the former SUA Hotel in Ikot Ekpene.
The vehicle is suspected to be one of the cars stolen recently from the premises of a Hospital in Uyo. The suspect, upon noticing the police presence, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspect. The police urges members of the public for any information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains committed to protecting the lives and property of all citizens. Further developments on this case will be communicated to the public as they arise.
