A suspected cultist who specializes in the vandalisation of feeder transformers and public electric cables within Abak Local Government Area and its environs has been arrested by operatives of Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
In a Police press release signed by the Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John LLB, Anipr, the suspect, Pius Pius, 40, was arrested by police operatives acting on actionable intelligence at No. 80 School Road by Oku Abak in Abak LGA at approximately 6:55PM.
During interrogation, Mr. Pius confessed to being a member of the Iceland Confraternity, a group reportedly involved in the destruction of critical public infrastructure. A search of his room led to the recovery of the following items:
* A human skull
* One transformer step down insulator
* One circuit breaker
* One electric meter
* fuses
