In a bit to cushion the biting effect of the economy on the people, Rt. Hon Unyime Idem, has distributed food items worth millions of naira to constituents in Ukanafun/ Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.
The exercise took place at the Unyime Idem Empowerment Centre, 3 Barracks Road, Ukanafun Local Government Area.
Food items distributed include;
600 bags of rice
600 bags of garri
300 cartons of spaghetti
30 cartons of seasoning
30 cartons of vegetable oil
30 cartons of tomato paste
20 bags of iodized salt.
Represented by one of his constituents, Sylvester Ebong, the federal lawmaker used the opportunity to assure his constituents, especially the less privileged, of his continuous commitment to their welfare.
He promised to ensure that the gesture, which is continuous, does not end here, as intermittently, he will make provisions that will cater for their well-being.
The beneficiaries, including Persons living with disabilities, widows, and other groups are grateful that my modest efforts always meet their needs, and pledged their unwavering support for me.
