Rep. Martins Esin Distributes Desks, Furniture, Other Items to Secondary Schools in Oron Federal Constituency

Rep. Martins Esin, Member representing Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Udung Uko/Urueoffong Oruko Federal Constituency, on Friday, distributed desks, office furniture, and other educational materials to some secondary schools across the constituency.
Each beneficiary school, including Mainland Technical College, Oron; Uda Community Secondary School, Mbo; Community Secondary School, Urue Ita, Okobo; Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Edikor, Udung Uko; and Urue Offong/Oruko Technical College, Oruko, received forty desks, office tables, chairs, etc.
At the distribution ceremony in Oron, Rep. Esin, who also chairs the House Committee on Youth Development, emphasized his alignment with Governor Umo Eno’s development agenda.
He lauded the governor’s investment in education, particularly the construction of model schools across the state, and described his intervention as a domestication of the governor’s ARISE Agenda in the constituency.
“For us, this is about complementing the governor’s efforts. We are focused on creating opportunities for young people through education. Recently, we sponsored five children from the constituency to the National Children Leadership Conference in Abuja, to demonstrate how we prioritize the growth of our youngsters,” Esin said.
He further pldeged to continue to give young people a sense of hope, reassuring them that government initiatives at all levels work in their favour.
Representing the beneficiaries, Kenneth John Bassey, Senior Prefect of Mainland Technical College, Oron, and Mrs. Affiong Effiong, Principal of Uda Community Secondary School, Mbo, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his thoughtful gesture, and pledged to ensure the materials are well-utilized and maintained.
The event was attended by Hon. Chief Asukwo Enweme, Chairman of Oron Local Government; Hon. George Henshaw, Chairman of Okobo Local Government; Mr. Daniel Eyakenyi, SSA to the Governor on General Duties; Barr. Omen Bassey, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor; and Elder Anietie Okon, Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Affairs.
Others in attendance included Hon. Murphy Esin, former Chairman of Oron Local Government Transition Committee; Mr Christopher Esin, popular musician and politician; Engr. Benedict Edenseting, PDP State Officer; Hon. Asukwo Koffi, former Vice Chairman of Okobo Local Government; serving and former PDP chapter chairmen; members of the Forward Oro Campaign Organization; school staff; students; and community members.
