As the people of Akwa Ibom State gear up for the 2024 Local Government elections, the UbongAbasi Campaign Organization has officially inaugurated its campaign Sub-committees to oversee the implementation of the campaign strategy.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the UbongAbasi Organisation’s campaign headquarters at Enen Mprong Street, Ikot Emien Itam, attracted key stakeholders and party loyalists. Speaking at the event.
Mr. Ubong Nkutt who was represented by his running mate; Hon. Helen Nta appreciated the team for their dedication and commitment to the campaign.
He emphasized the importance of unity, transparency, and diligence, reiterating his vision of transforming Itu through the implementation of achievable policies and projects; while urging everyone to put in their best and ensure the team succeeds.
The Director General Central Planning Committee of UbongAbasi Campaign Council; Elder Emmanuel Abel who inaugurated the sub-committees committees said the campaign team will reach every corner of Itu and ensure that their message of progress and hope is delivered to every citizen. He said the sub-committees are expected to coordinate various aspects of the election process, including voter mobilization and community outreaches.
Responding on behalf of members of the inaugurated committees; Mr. Ndifreke Ndon who is the Chairman of Contact and Mobilisation thanked the candidate and members of the CPC for finding them worthy to execute such important assignment and pledged to work assiduously to deliver on their mandate to the benefit of the campaign organisation and the PDP family in Itu Local Government Area.
The Itu PDP Chapter Women Leader and Chapter Chairman-elect; Evang. (Mrs.) Inemesit Maxwell Eduok congratulated members of the committees and urged them take the electioneering campaign serious, despite the absence of a formidable adversary. She said it it critical to maintain party’s absolute dominance in the Local Government. A position that was corroborated by the Vice Chairman of Itu Local Government Transition Committee and Secretary of UbongAbasi Campaign Council; Hon. (Mrs.) Emem Ekpanya who also applauded members of the respective subcommittees for believing in the project and for agreeing to serve. She tasked all other party faithfuls to see themselves as members of the campaign team.
The Inaugurated sub-committees are; Contact and Mobilisation with Mr. Ndifereke Ndon as Chairman and Hon.Mfon Ekpenyong as Secretary, Akparawa James Edet is the Chairman Media and Publicity while Mr. Nsidibe Akpan is the Secretary, Entertainment and Welfare has Ofonime Ndem as Chairman and Angela Dominus; secretary, Ubong Ndanyongmong is the Chairman; Security and Protocol with Mr. Gabriel Afia as secretary.
