Hon. Uko Umoh has been affirmed the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chairmanship candidate for the October 26,2024 Local Government elections in Etinan Local Government Area.
Hon. Uko Umoh has been affirmed the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chairmanship candidate for the October 26,2024 Local Government elections in Etinan Local Government Area.His candidacy was solidified on Saturday August 3, 2024 during the PDP’s primaries held at Etinan Local Government Secretariat.
The party delegates who thronged the council secretariat, expressed happiness to the state Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for using his good office to reduce political tension in the state.
Reacting to his emergence, Hon. Uko Umoh thanked the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for finding him worthy to mount the leadership seat of the local government and promised to live up to expectation.
Uko Umoh commended his party men and other aspirants for the confidence reposed in him, and vowed to carry them along.
The chairman re-echoed his desire for peace and unity in the local government, while charging people still nursing political wounds to move on.
“I am happy today for all your supports and concern. I must appreciate the Governor for his foresight in calming political nerves. I can say this is unprecedented.
“I thank our political stakeholders for the level of love and unity exhibited prior to this day. I will not disappoint you all”, Uko Umoh said.
Congratulating Uko Umoh, the Member Representing Etinan Federal Constituency, National Assembly, Obong Paul Ekpo expressed confidence in the peoples’ choice of the Consensus Candidate.
Obong Paul Ekpo said with Uko Umoh’s experience in the last seven months as Transition Committee Chairman coupled with his all-inclusive style of leadership, the Local Government Area will keep thriving economically and otherwise.
