Another set of beneficiaries of Pastor Umo Eno’s ARISE compassionate homes have emerged in Etinan Federal Constituency.
They are Madam Affiong Sunday David of Ikot Akpabio in Etinan Local Government Area, Madam Bassey-Anwan Moses Daniel, in Afia Nsit Village, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area and Madam Nkereuwem Umoren, in Ikot Ekpene Udo village, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of the State.
The commissioning of the new homes was done last Friday,July 5th 2024 by the governor who was represented by the commissioner of Information, comrade Ini Ememobong.
The beneficiaries apart from settling into their new homes were also given a business grant worth N500,000.00 (Five hundred thousand naira only) by the governor.
Delivering the keys to the new homes the governor said the ARISE compassionate home is in fulfilment of his campaign promise to bring governance closer to the people.
He stressed that the beneficiaries were selected based on need and had no political consideration and thank those who made the realization of the project possible.
At Nsit Ibom, the governor’s representative thanked the man who donated the plot of land for the ARISE compassionate home to be built while making a donation of N200,000.00(Two hundred thousand naira only) as appreciation to the land donor.
Political stakeholders in Nsit Ubuim local government area led by Deputy Leader of the State House of Assembly, Barr. Otobong Bob, applauded the Governor for fulfilling his campaign promise of “connecting the dots” and expressed pride in his compassionate leadership across the State.
Similarly some political stakeholders in Nsit Ibom Local Governmet Area including General Paul Isang, Mr. Amanam Nkanga, Mrs. Funmi Idongesit Nkanga, Hon. Eric Akpan, and Mrs. Otobong Aaron, applauded the Governor for his compassionate and people-oriented leadership, noting that Nsit Ibom has benefited from various developmental projects including the home which has brought the beneficiary succour.
In Etinan, it was the same outpour of goodwill by political stakeholders including the Transition Chairman, Hon. Uko Umoh, HSA on Humanitarian Services, Mrs. Ime Essien, and Paramount Ruler, HRM Edidem Akpanobong, applauded the Governor for his good works and love for Etinan people.
They all acknowledged that his administration has touched the lives of people at the grassroots and assured him of massive votes from Etinan people in appreciation of his superlative performance and compassionate disposition.
The beneficiaries Affiong David of Ikot Akpabio, Etinan Local Government Area, Bassey-Anwan Daniel, in Afia Nsit Village, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area and Nkereuwem Umoren from Ikot Ekpene Udo village in Nsit Ubuim Local Government Area thanked the governor for building a befitting home in their life time. They prayed for long life and God’s divine protection upon the governor who has remembered widows to provide them a decent shelter.

In a project overview, Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Services, Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, highlighted the unique features of the homes to include a solar borehole, solar power electricity, external kitchen, and is built to stand the test of time.
He assured the people of the Governor’s commitment to reach the hitherto unreached and connect the dots across communities in the state.
A total of 36 houses have so far been handed over to indigent families in Akwa Ibom state under the ARISE Shelter Agenda of Pastor Umo Eno.
The houses mostly for widows come under the name ARISE Compassionate homes and a total of 400 are to be built across the 368 political wards before 2027.
The first phase of the ARISE compassionate home covers the 31 Local Governmet Areas.
