Etinan Council Boss Reiterates Commitment To Excellence

The Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Honourable Uko Umoh, says he is committed to excellence in running the affairs of the local government area.

A member of Center for Professional Development and Head of Service, Etinan Local Government Area, Mrs Mercy Ntekim presents the congratulatory award to the Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area Honourable Uko Umoh (R) while the Vice Chairman,Hon Imaobong Michael (m) watches with admiration.

He stated this during a presentation of a congratulatory award by Centre of Excellence in Professional Development at the Council’s Secretariat, Etinan.

According to him, Etinan is not known as the brain basket of Akwa Ibom state for nothing but as a result of the exhibition of excellence by the forebears of the local government which he intends to build on their legacies in the administration of the council.

Mr. Uchenna Okoye(L) congratulates the Executive Chairman, Hon Uko Umoh shortly after being presented with the congratulatory award in his office while Hon Imaobong Michael (M) watches.

“From the time of our forebears till now, mediocrity has never been an acceptable standard as we set the pace in every life’s endeavour be it in politics, business or bureaucracy.

“We will continue to pursue our goals as a council, excellently, knowing that only the best is good enough for our people” he declared.

Hon Uko Umoh thanked the organisation for finding him worthy of the recognition adding that, it will spur him to strive for excellence in all his affairs as the Executive Chairman of the local government area.

“This recognition is therefore a great boost to me to strive for nothing else except excellence.
Excellence in my relationship with members of the executive council, excellence in the relationship with the legislative arm and excellence while interacting with members of the civil service”

Earlier, Mr. Uchenna Okoye while congratulating Hon Uko Umoh for earning the organisation’s recognition described him as a 21st century leader with uncommon passion for excellence.

Mr Okoye said having monitored his activities right from his days as Transition Committee Chairman till when he was elected the Executive Chairman, Hon Uko Umoh has remained exceptional in his approach to governance.

Present at the congratulatory award presentation ceremony were the Vice Chairman, Hon Imaobong Michael, the Leader of the Legislature, Hon Ekerete Umoh, the Head of Service, Mrs Mercy Ntekim who is also a member of the organisation, the secretary of the Council, Hon Idorenyin Udo, the chief of staff to the Chairman, Pastor Ubong Inyang as well as the Press secretary to the Chairman, Otobong Nsekpong.
