Etinan Council Announces New Welfare Package for Staff
The Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh, has announced an improvement in the welfare of staff of the Council.
Addressing staff of the council during the October edition of the solemn assembly held at the Millennium Hall of the council, the chairman said his office is opened to all staff of the council with any form of challenge.
He also hinted of plan for training of staff especially those handling government secret, saying at no point, should government official communication be found in the public domain.
The chairman warned against absentism among staff saying, except there is a document to back up one’s absence, such development will no longer be tolerated.
The Chairman also informed staff that there is an outbreak of Ebola in the country and called for personal hygiene to prevent its spread.
On the issue of crime and drug abuse in the local government area, the chairman urged staff to be anti drug ambassadors in their neighborhood to help government fight drug abuse in the local government area.
In his sermon, Pastor A. O Umoh of the Apostolic Church , Uyo Area, urged christians to look up to God for an evidence that will put their enemies to Shame.
Reading from Psalm 86:17, Pastor Umoh said one of the evidences from God is divine favour praying God to show staff evidence of his favour before the end of the year.
The solemn assembly featured praises, choir rendition, prayers as well as prayer for the chairman of APC in Etinan local government area, comrade Israel Tommy whose birthday coincided with the solemn assembly.
The October solemn assembly was attended by the Secretary of Council, Hon Idorenyin Udo, Head of Local Government Service, Mr. Saviour Okon, Supervisors Directors and staff of the Council.
