21.5km Ikot Anyan Ediene – Ikot Ntia – Urua Naira – Ikot Nseyen – Nkwot – Nung Ukim Road Due For Commissioning February 2026

Not withstanding the turf in Ikono Local Government Area, HENSEK INTEGRATED SERVICES handling the construction of 21.5km Ikot Anyan Ediene – Ikot Ntia – Urua Naira – Ikot Nseyen – Nkwot – Nung Ukim Road with 45m Span Bridge has given assurance of timely completion of the project.

Reacting to the assurances given by Engr Uwem Okoko, Managing Director of HENSEK integrated Services the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno PhD, has stated that he will return to Ikono Local Government Area in 2026 next to commission the road project.
According to the governor at the flag-off of the road project “HENSEK is a Grade A international contractor who always delivers timely. He has given us a date for completion. I have confidence that HENSEK will deliver as he has said. We have confidence that he will deliver to specifications”.

Gov Eno took time to explain the benefits of the contracts awarded across the state noting that, thousands of Akwa Ibomite will be employed.

Earlier the Managing Director of HENSEK integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko thanked the governor for the confidence in his company to deliver the job timely and according to specification.

“I want to thank you and your Government for the transparent selection process where HENSEK came out as the preferred bidder.

“Your Excellency I’m well aware of the turf in Ikono. I’ve already constructed about 9.5km of roads around Nung Ukim area. Ikono is the home of HENSEK. This 21.5km road comprises of 800 by 800mm drainage on both sides. This will be completed on time. I want to tell the people of Ikono and Akwa Ibom that come February 28th 2026 this road will be ready for commissioning.”
