The chairman of Etinan local government areas Hon Uko Umoh has declared that his loyalty is first to the governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno PhD and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The chairman stated this at the Northern Iman Ward 2 office of APC after he received his APC membership card from the Chairman of APC in Etinan local government area, Mr. Israel Tommy.
Hon Uko Umoh who presented his resignation letter from the PDP duly acknowledged by the ward chairman said where Governor Umo Eno leads he will follow.
“My boss the governor has seen the reason to move over to APC. He has seen the future and the benefit of joining APC, as a loyal supporter of Pastor Umo Eno PhD, I have moved over to APC”
He extol the leadership of APC in Etinan under Mr Israel Tommy, saying his coming to the party has added political glory to Northern Iman Ward 2.
“The chairman of Etinan local government area is from Northern Iman Ward 2, the chairman of APC in Etinan is also from Northern Iman Ward 2 and the Uyo Senatorial District woman leader is also from Northern Iman Ward 2”
The Chairman said though they were separated in the past due to political affiliation, God in his right time has brought the people of Northern Iman Ward 2 together as a family.
In his remarks, the chairman of APC in Etinan, Mr. Israel Tommy thanked the chairman for leading the way and assured him of the full support of APC in Northern Iman Ward 2 to the success of his administration.
“This is what we have been yearning for over the years. The party is your party. We will work with you And support you to succeed as the chairman of Etinan local government area.”
Present at the meeting were the Senatorial District woman leader, Mrs Patience Anako, the ward Chairman, Mr Aniekan Akpan, ward Leader Otuekong Uduakabasi Ikpat, Michael Ekpe and a host of others.
