Senator Aniekan Bassey’s one year anniversary gift to constituents; 1km farm road
Senator Aniekan Bassey representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District at the National Assembly has delivered a one kilometer farm road in Uruan Community.
Uruan Local Government Area is one with the poorest road network in the state and the Ekim Enen farm road may just be a tiny drop in an ocean.
The Senator who is the immediate past Speaker of the state House of Assembly has been able to deliver the farm road as evidence of his representation in the last one year.
Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District is made up of nine state constituencies. Going by the one kilometer in one year template, constituents of the district should expect four or eight kilometers of farm roads if he represents them for eight years.
However, roads are the arteries of a country, transporting people, goods and services. Building and maintaining them is essential to economic growth and development.
By constructing the road, senator Akpan is aligning with Pastor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda which targets rural development through provision of rural infrastructures.
According Michael Joseph, a public affairs analyst from Uruan Local Government Area the road is a significant milestone for the people.
