Out of favour Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku is set to return to active football with a permanent deal with Napoli for the sum of £30m with a sell – on clause.
The Belgium striker,31, is set to reunite with his former coach, Antonio Conte under whose tutelage he flourished at Inter Milan from 2019 to 2021.
The striker rejoined Chelsea in 2021 for a record fee of £97.5m but has spent the last two seasons on loan in Italy first back at Inter Milan and later at Roma.
He has not played for Chelsea since May 2022 and Chelsea is looking forward to offloading old players with the signing of 11 new players this summer.
This transfer may see Victor Osimhen moving in the opposite direction with Chelsea preferring an initial load deal for the Nigerian striker.
