Lawmaker Counts Blessing As A’Ibom Government litters Ibiono Ibom with projects

Hon Moses Essien representative of Ibiono Ibom state constituency in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly is excited with the number of projects executed by the state government in his constituency.

Speaking when the Governor visited the local government area to inspect ongoing projects, Hon Essien said the governor, Pastor Umo Eno has fulfilled his campaign promises to the people of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.

The project sites visited were
Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre, (DASAC), at Ikot Ada-Idem, the Low-cost Housing Estate in Ibiaku Ikpedip and Ikot Ukpong, all in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, as well as the Ring Road III which stretches from Idoro Road through Ibiono Ibom to Uyo-Ikot Ekpene Road.

Hon. Essien who was elected into the state parliament on the platform of the opposition Young Progressives Congress ( YPP), noted that Ibiono Ibom is evidently one of the greatest beneficiaries of Governor Umo Eno-led administration.

 

According to the lawmaker, “I am excited because this is not happening in Mkpat Enin, neither is it happening in Ikot Ekpene Udo in Nsit Ubium, but it is happening here in Ibiono and to my happiness, it is happening in my time as a member of the House of Assembly.

“Sir, I am grateful. I want to thank you so much for activating this project for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people and for Ibiono Ibom people, especially to feel the impact of government. I look at what you promised Ibiono Ibom people when you came for campaign, I understand that this housing estate is one of the promises you made to Ibiono Ibom people, and you are living up to expectations.

“Number two, the bill you just signed into law, the Assets Management and Maintenance Agency Law, taking cognisance of the asset of the State will ensure that where government invested money in facilities and assets like this low-cost estate, would not be abandoned. It provides for the reactivation, revitalisation, and maintenance of government assets.

“This is a worthy cause for emulation, thank you so much, Your Excellency, God bless you,” he added.

Also speaking, the Village Head of Ibiaku Ikpedip Ibiono, the host community of the Housing Estate, Ette Idung Charles Nseabasi Umoh, said the administration of Governor Umo Eno has shown significant presence in the area through different projects.

He maintained that the people of the area were happy with the Governor and will continue to support and pray for him to succeed.

Earlier, the Governor who was satisfied with the progress of work at the site, announced plans to remodel the primary and secondary schools in the area, provide a health facility, potable water and a police station so as to transform the Ikpedip and Ikot Ukpong axis of Ibiono Ibom into a modern community.
