2026: Hon Uko Umoh targets massive development in Etinan
... Budgets N15.7B For 2026 Fiscal Year
The Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh, has presented the 2026 budget estimate before the Legislative Council with a promise to spread grassroot development.

A total of Fifteen Billion, Seven Hundred and Ninety Six Million, Nine Hundred seventy three thousand naira only (N15,796,973,000,00) budget estimate for 2026 fiscal year.
The budget is made up of Five Billion, Nine Hundred and Fifty One Million, One Hundred Twenty Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifteen Naira only (N5,951,122,915.00) for recurrent expenditure.
Capital expenditure for 2026 fiscal year is put at Nine billion, eight hundred and forty six million, eight hundred and fifty thousand, eighty five naira , forty three kobo. (N 9, 846, 850, 085.43)

The Council boss commended members of the Legislative Council for being on the same page with him in the development of Etinan local government area.
He stated that in the 2026 Budget of Consolidation, the Council intends to extend electricity supply to more communities, restore water supply in our villages,grade more roads and open new ones, renovate more Primary Health Centres, construct Town Halls and civic Centres, build market stalls and many more.
He thanked the Legislative Council for being on the same page with him as far as development of Etinan communities was concerned.

“Your commitment made it possible for Etinan local government area to be the first in the state to sign the 2025 bye law.
This co-operation made it possible for us to start the 2025 fiscal year on clean slate. Once again thank you”
The Council solicited similar cooperation in the new year especially in giving the 2026 budget estimate presented before the Legislative Council accelerated but thorough consideration.
Receiving the 2026 budget estimate, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Ekerete Umoh, applauded the chairman for bringing development closer to the people thereby fulfilling the purpose of creating local government areas in the country.

He informed the Chairman that the budget will be give due attention but assured him that, departments and directorates of the Council will appear before the House committee on finance and appropriation to defend the budget estimate.
