The Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh, has called on Etinan indigenes to support the programmes, policies and re-election of Governor Umo Eno in 2027.
Addressing members of Concerned Ladies and Gentlemen, a socio-economic and political group in his office, the Chairman disclosed that the administration of Governor Umo Eno is determined to create wealth and empower Akwa Ibom people.
The Council boss urged members of the group to register in government portals as that is the shortest way to benefit from government programmes in the state.
“I want to emphasize the need for all to register on the portal so that more of our people can be accommodated in government programmes and opportunities”
He thanked the group for identifying with him and assured them of his readiness to partner with them in human development in line with their vision and mission.
“You can exist without the Chairman or the Council but like pole attracts. You are not in the wrong place. I have a covenant with God to bring development to Etinan. No man has the monopoly of knowledge. Your advice and contributions will help in the development of our land”
Also speaking, wife of the Chairman, Mrs Emily Uko Umoh, thanked the group for their show of solidarity and assured them of their place in the scheme of things.

Mrs Margate Jonathan had thanked the chairman for opening his doors to receive the group saying, they have come to identify with the chairman.
She disclosed that the group is out to help each other economically, socially as well as politically pointing out that, if opportunity is given they will do more.
Our Chairman, we have come to partner with you to help us develop our people. “This group is into humanitarian service and is duly registered”.
Those present during the courtesy visit include the Secretary of the Council, Hon Idorenyin Udo, Chief of staff to the Chairman, Pastor Ubong Inyang, Chairman of APC in Etinan, Comrade Israel Moses Tommy and Comrade Idara Godwin Emah who is the treasurer of APC in Etinan Local Government Area.
