Gov Umo Eno’s Spokesman Gives Insight On The Successes Of ARISE Agenda

The Chief Press Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, has given insight on the implementation of the programmes and policies of Pastor Umo Eno under the ARISE Agenda.

Briefing the press on Monday, the governor’s spokesman took time to explain more on how the ARISE Agenda is being implemented for the overall wellbeing of the people.

Among other issues, the briefing afforded journalists opportunity to be intimated of the Governor’s kind gestures, including converting his earlier proposed N2bn loan scheme to grants for market traders, his decision to constitute a delivery unit in his office for more efficiency in the delivery of projects in the State and his agriculture, education and security initiatives.

The Chief Press Secretary, flanked by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity , Anietie Usen and the SSA on Reaearch and Documentation, Dr. Essien Ndueso, informed the press of the activities of fifth columnists who take delight in surreptitiously sponsoring false publications to mislead the public and discredit the good intentions of the Governor, adding that, the Pastor Umo Eno’s administration has invested heavily in youth empowerment, human capacity development and several other acts of compassion to the people, which the entire world can see.

He warned the perpetrators of blackmails to put an end to such ignoble acts, or risks being exposed and brought to book.

“If God’s Grace has found you and His Excellency appoints you in his own magnanimity to contribute positively to the development of the State, please let’s do so faithfully and honestly”, he stated

The State media consultant, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, on his part spoke on the commencement of the second phase of free food distribution exercise comes with a new procedure which puts the Bulk Purchase Agency, directly responsible for providing the free food to the vulnerable population captured in the State’s Social Register.

The State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Amos Etuk commended the CPS and his team for organizing the briefing, and assured of the commitment of the media as development partners in building the State.

Also in attendance were the publicity secretary of the PDP, Mr Edwin Ebiese, the Press Secretary to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Uduak Utip Ekong, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Omen Bassey, Chairman of the Federated Chapel, Comrade Nsibiet John, Heads of some media organizations in the state, Chancellor of Conference of Online Publishers Akwa Ibom (COOPA) Utitofon Morgan Ukpong and other categories of media professionals.
