Etinan Traders Union congratulates Uko Umoh, Uduak Ekpo-ufot

Traders in Etinan Local Government Area have congratulated the chairman of Etinan Transition Committee, Hon Uko Umoh for his meritorious appointment by the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

Coming under the umbrella, Etinan Traders Union, the traders also congratulated Hon. Uduak Ekpo-ufot for a successful completion of his first year as representative of Iman Ibom people.

In a press release signed by the coordinator of the union Mr.Brown Uko Isaac and made available to this reporter, the traders noted that it was the superlative performance of Hon Uko Umoh in the first six months that has earned him another six months as Transition Committee chairman.

According to the press release, the Transition Committee under the chairmanship of Honourable Uko Umoh has touched on several sectors of the local government economy such as health, agriculture, infrastructure, basic amenities, human development in line with the ARISE Agenda of the state governor.

“Let us use this opportunity to assure you of our support in the next six months and to urge you not to relent in your effort to bring development to Iman Ibom land” the statement reads in part.

In the same vein, the traders also described the performance of Hon Uduak Ekpo-ufot as unprecedented in the history of representation in Etinan.
” We have seen your good start , your prompt response to issues affecting Iman Ibom people is highly commendable. We are confident that at the end of your tenure, you will be leaving behind indelible footprints on the sand of time”.

The union therefore called on the chairman, Transition Committee and the House of Assembly member to include Etinan Traders Union in their various empowerment schemes especially in providing business gra

nts to enable them expand their businesses, renovate dilapidated market stalls and build new ones.

“We are traders, when you empower us to remain in the market, we will sell you and your political aspiration to the people”.
