The people of Ekid Nation say they are happy to identify with the elevation of the Oku Ibom Ibibio and Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Ntenyin Solomon Daniel Etuk, CFR to the position of the President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers
The President General of Ekid Peoples Union Dr. Samuel Udonsek stated this when he led over a thousand Ekid people to the Palace of the Oku Ibom Ibibio at Ikot Ukobo in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
Represented by AbongIwaad Isaiah Abia, the President General described the elevation of Ntenyin Solomon Daniel Etuk as divine and urged the monarch not to be distracted by what he described as pockets of noisy folks from noise makers.
According to him, such antics shall not stop the will of God in the life of the Royal Father.
Speaking further, the PG said Ekid people are here to congratulate the Oku Ibom for the feat and expressed excitement that at long last, Akwa Ibom people have been blessed with a man who will speak for them at the highest level of traditional Rulers in Nigeria.
“The Ekid people are determined to stand by you, we shall support you in prayers, morally and in every way possible. Your reign as the Supreme King of Akwa Ibom people shall witness development, peace and tranquility in the State. Thank you for accepting to serve, we your Children in Ekid are happy and proud to identify with you”.
The President’s Speech which was received with wide applause by members of other ethnic nationalities present at the Palace as it was described as one of the best speeches presented.
Responding, the President General of the Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers Ntenyin Solomon Daniel Etuk appreciated Ekid people for the massive solidarity, he promised to ensure that he lead the people with the fear of God and urged Ekid people to remain peaceful and law abiding as they are known for.
The President General described Ekid and her people as an integral part of Ibibio that must be cherished protected and supported.
He prayed God to bless Ekid and her people and emphasized his love to them promising that his support and love for Ekid people shall reman eternal.
