In the early hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025, operatives from the Akwa Ibom State Police Command successfully raided a criminal hideout in Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo.
Acting on an intelligence, Operatives moved to the location at approximately 1:00AM, leading to the arrest of one individual.
The suspect, identified as Kabiru Isa, a resident of Udi Street, Uyo, was apprehended at the scene while other suspects managed to evade capture. A search of the premises yielded a significant quantity of illegal substances.
Among the recovered exhibits were:
* Five sizeable bundles of substances suspected to be cannabis
* substances suspected to be Tramadol capsules
Mr. Isa is currently in police custody and is undergoing investigation. The recovered exhibits have been forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further action.
