The Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Commission of Akwa Ibom State, EARCOM, has assured the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Umo Eno on Ethical Orientation, Rev. Osondu Ahirika, PhD, of collaboration in the promotion of the ARISE Agenda and Ethical issues.
Director of Administration and Supplies, EARCOM, Mrs Uduakabasi Bassey Udo who gave the assurance when the SSA visited EARCOM on a working visit on Monday said the Commission is always open to positive synergy with like minded organisations or agencies in pursuit of its charter
Mrs Bassey observed that the recent dissolution of the Board of EARCOM will not cause them to relent on the mandate of promoting positive values, civic responsibilities and attitudinal change among the people.
While stressing that EARCOM is to the administration of Governor Umo Eno what the National Orientation Agency is to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Mrs Bassey said with the Commission will continue to promote the ARISE Agenda.
In his address, Dr Ahirika who was a member of the immediate past Board of EARCOM disclosed that Governor Umo Eno is very keen about repositioning EARCOM to align with his ARISE Agenda and the efficient discharge of her mandate public enlightenment and attitudinal reorientation.
The SSA who described his visit as a homecoming sued for collaboration with the commission in voter education,
sensitisation campaigns, eradication of social vices and enlightenment on Ethical behaviour and restoration of values in society.
The Governors aide charged the staff of EARCOM to sustain their public sensitisation operations in communities and institutions to make meaningful impact until a new Board is constituted by Governor Umo Eno, stressing that the expectations remain very high but not unattainable.Governors Aide To promotion of ARISE Agenda
