Community Leaders applaud Hon Uko Umoh’s initiatives in grassroots governance

The administration of Hon Uko Umoh in Etinan local government area has continued to receive accolades for its initiative in running the affairs of the local government area.

In an interaction with the Etinan Local Government project Implementation Committee in his palace, the Paramount Ruler of Etinan, His Royal Majesty Edidem Aniefiok Monday Akpanobong said God has visited Etinan with the appointment of Hon Uko Umoh as chairman of council.
“He has started well, when there is the will there is a way, if he continues like this there will be peace in the land. He is very responsive to the yearnings of the people and that is what is expected of leader at the grassroots like a local government”

For Dr Friday Etuk, Managing Director of Assur Electronics Uyo, Hon Uko Umoh deserves the full support of Iman Ibom people because he has the vision and ability to develop Etinan local government area.

Dr. Etuk who took the Committee members round his Community where some electricity poles were destroyed by wind storm pointed out that the clearing of road sides along Uyo- Etinan to the boundary of Etinan and ONNA Local government as an idea that has not only kept the road clean but also improved the economy of the people in the communities. “This is a chairman who knows what to do and I have not heard anyone criticise him. He has done very well and deserves our support”

On his part, the village head of Ikot Obio Inyang, Eteidung Emem Okon Akpan said Hon Uko Umoh is the only one person that will change Etinan local government for good and bring development quickly to the area.

The deputy village head of Ikot Ekan, Obong Enobong Jumbo Mbede says Hon Uko Umoh is one who will be able to deliver in the area of grassroots development. “He has the zeal and the passion joined together with strength to deliver on any assignment, I see his tenure as one that will rewrite the history of Iman Ibom in both politics and development” he concluded.

The Etinan Local Government project Implementation Committee set up by the administration of Hon Uko Umoh has toured round the local government to take record of projects executed by government which were either abandoned or non functional after commissioning.
According to the chairman, he is not interested in embarking on new projects but to make life better for rural dwellers by breathing life back to such projects for the good of the people.
