AKS EXCO SETS UP CHAPLAINCY, NAMES AKICORP BOSS PIONEER CHAPLAIN.

Mr. Imo-Abasi Jacob, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/ CEO) of the Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP), has been appointed the pioneer chaplain of the State Executive Council.

The MD/CEO broke the news during the February edition of the corporation’s Happy Hour celebration, which coincided with his 66th birthday.

The event, held on the last Fridays of every month, is designed to help staff unwind and celebrate birthdays.

As staff poured encomium on him, Mr. Jacob expressed gratitude to God for His goodness and thanked his staff for their demonstration of love.

He intimated the staff that the Executive Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, had just appointed him the pioneer chaplain of the State Executive Council chaplaincy, and that he considered his new role as a birthday gift from the Governor.

Mr Jacob , who is also a pastor, emphasized that priesthood was a desirable calling and encouraged his staff to seize opportunities to serve God and humanity.

He also reminded staff that the government is committed to delivering programmes across the state and urged them to rise to new challenges, which he noted, are in the best interest of the state.

As chaplain, Mr. Imo-Abasi Jacob will play a vital role in promoting ethical thinking and providing spiritual guidance to the state executive council.
